  New England Chapter
American Society for Indexing

Serving Indexers, Authors, Editors, Publishers, and Database Professionals in New England and the World

The New England Chapter is a chapter of the American Society for Indexing, a non-profit association founded in 1968 to promote excellence in indexing and increase awareness of the value of well-written and well-designed indexes. The New England Chapter (originally the Massachusetts chapter) was founded in 1995.

The New England Chapter (NEASI) represents professional indexers from all six New England states. NEASI is a diverse group of highly skilled, well-trained professionals with expertise in a wide range of indexing and information management activities and specialties.

The chapter usually holds two conferences per year on professional development topics such as marketing, business management, indexing specialties, and website design. However, we are not holding a meeting this spring, 2013.

Whether you are an indexer, are thinking about becoming an indexer, or are considering hiring an indexer, you will find helpful information here and through contacts with members of the New England Chapter.

Please welcome our new 2013 NEASI Board officers:

  • Ray Davis Murdoch Curry, Vice President / President Elect
  • Melissa Stearns Hyde, Secretary
