Serving Indexers, Authors, Editors, Publishers, and Database Professionals in New England and the World
The New England Chapter is a chapter of the American Society for Indexing, a non-profit association founded in 1968 to promote excellence in indexing and increase awareness of the value of well-written and well-designed indexes. The New England Chapter (originally the Massachusetts chapter) was founded in 1995.
The New England Chapter (NEASI) represents professional indexers from all six New England states. NEASI is a diverse group of highly skilled, well-trained professionals with expertise in a wide range of indexing and information management activities and specialties.
The chapter usually holds two conferences per year on professional development topics such as marketing, business management, indexing specialties, and website design.
Whether you are an indexer, are thinking about becoming an indexer, or are considering hiring an indexer, you will find helpful information here and through contacts with members of the New England Chapter.
Announcing new officers for NEASI!
Save the Date: Late Winter Luncheon!
Our last New England ASI informal lunch in December was a great success, so we're holding another one on Friday, March 6 at noon near Hudson, MA. More details on location to follow soon. Members, non-members, indexers, those interested in indexing, and friends of indexers are all welcome to attend. There is no entrance fee, but attendees will be responsible for their own meal. There will be no agenda, but we will have a theme of sharing tech tips. Think about your favorite apps, software, widget, or just something that helps you with your indexing or your business.
Fall Meeting 2015
